Andrea Lin has been involved in the arts from a very early age. At seven she was
creating her own storyboards and Manga designs. Her schooling was intense and very
rigid. While an outstanding student the artist in her longed to make an appearance.
Her first major break came as a model where she worked in front of as well as behind
the camera.
After placing second in the National Exams she was admitted to the number one university
in Taiwan, NTUT. While attending the university she began to explore not only commercial
art, but new forms of self expression such as ballroom dancing and other Latin based
rhythmic movement. Her natural abilities as a dancer helped her take first place
in the American Tango division of local competitions.
She first came to America in 1997 and decided to make the US her new home. Working
as a translator she was able to return to her homeland with new goals and desires.
With her head full of dreams, the young performer returned to the States where she
decided that the best way to experience her new country was to see it first hand
for herself. Andrea backpacked from Los Angeles to New York stopping in most of
the major cities on her way. Her creativity and interest in the arts was piqued
and she coined the phrase, 'nothing is impossible', as her new mantra.
In 2000 Andrea began to seriously study dance in New York where her natural aptitude
helped her pick up many dance styles and methods. Soon she was teaching herself.
By 2003 the talented performer had already appeared on television, film, music videos
and stage shows with celebrities such as Britney Spears, Madonna, LL Cool J, Puff
Daddy, Lenny Kravitz, Thalia, Dave Chappelle and many others.
During this period the Asian beauty worked diligiently on her modeling career and
she worked with various artists and photographers on commercial, print and high
end art collaborations. In 2004 she explored her abilities as a producer as she
worked on and produced stage shows and major productions such as FemmeNoir, live
charity events and continuous live nightclub and dance reviews such as Cirque Erotique
and many others.
In 2005 Andrea began a successful association with the New Shanghai Circus and La
Grande Cirque, events that toured the country and featured live acrobatic and dramatic
stories in the vein of Cirque De Soleil. She continued this work in 2006 where she
worked as producer, translator and liason between the shows producers, choreographers
and talent.
Currently, the model, actress, dancer and performer is working in Los Angeles and
is beginning to produce her own graphics, films and specialty projects while working
with established photographers and producers.
